This variety is often processed into raisins. They have yellowish green skin and a pronounced sweet flavour. Grapes are available year round with the peak season being from mid-summer to early autumn. Serve grapes with cheese and crackers, throw a handful into a chicken and watercress salad or toss them in a fruit salad. Grapes do not sweeten further after they're been picked. Don't wash grapes before storage - it's impossible to thoroughly dry between them, and trapped water will dilute their flavour and cause them to deteriorate quickly. To Store: Store in a covered container in the fridge: take them out about half an hour ahead of serving as they have more flavour if not too chilled.
