White washed potatoes have creamy coloured, smooth skin outside and white flesh inside. They are excellent fried, baked, boiled or roasted. Washed potatoes are more susceptible to greening and will not keep as well because their skins have been battered by the high pressure hoses used to clean them. .Unless cooking them immediately, put peeled or cut potatoes into a bowl of water, as the flesh will discolour slightly. To Store: Store potatoes in a cool, dark, dry place with air around them. Potatoes with thin, white skins will store for several days. To pro long lifespan put in fridge.
